Orbit Tennis has been established at Prior’s Field School and Elstead Tennis Club by Barbara Awbery.  Over 400 children are coached regularly by Barbara and her team, with hundreds more joining in the fun in the holidays.  Orbit Tennis caters for junior players from 3 to 18, as well as adults.  All standards are welcome from complete beginners to experienced match players.  Orbit give quality coaching, small groups size (1:6 coach to pupil ratio) and a fantastic friendly learning environment.

Qualified experienced coaches are the name of the game at Orbit.  Barbara Awbery, and Adam Turner are Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Club Coaches (CCA) with full Coaching Licence, and are National Members of the British Tennis Coaches Association (BTCA). Barbara is a Head Tennis Coach being sponsored by Head Tennis Limited. Barbara and Adam started the Orbit Academy at Prior’s Field school in 2002.

In addition we have Trevor Blackburn who is a LTA Performance Coach (PCA), Ian Bicknell, a CCA coach, Stuart McCabe who is a LTA Development Coach (DCA), and Betty Maitland, a PTR coach who runs our CardioTennis courses. Jon Bozas helps out during the summer holidays.  As well as being a CCA coach, Jon was the LTA coach of the year in 2004. Sam Williamson and Dawn Vaughan are also part of the team, working as tennis assistants.  Both Dawn and Sam have their part 1 LTA qualification.
